About our furniture
Steamed (thermally modified) wood is wood that has gone through a controlled pyrolysis process, in which it is heated to more than 180 degrees Celsius in an oxygen-poor environment. This modifies the wood and gives it a higher durability class. We work with steamed ash, but you can also process other types of wood in this way. Besides the fact that it preserves the wood, it also gives it a fancy look.
